Camera Repair

  • Paxy's Camera Repair (no website or email) - Robert Brettman, 5320 Doris Drive, Waldorf, (301)645-1748. Works out of his tidy basement shop. If you don't want to drive to Waldorf, he comes down to Lex Park every week, so you could arrange to meet him.
  • Canon Product Repair

  • B&H Photo Video - There are lots of big mail-order houses in New York City. Most of the serious photogs I know go to B&H - you're not likely to beat their prices, especially on film.
  • Penn Camera - Six retail stores in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
  • Ritz Camera - Yeah, well.
  • Gepe Slide Mounts - Sells glass slide mounts, masks.
  • The Camera Shop Inc. - Big chain in the Philadelphia area, lots of resources on their web page. We bought our new used projector screen from them. They have now been bought out by Ritz camera, but the link still works.
  • - White House Custom Coloring
  • Shutterfly Photo Books

  • Lissa Hatcher Photography - Lissa Hatcher (President 2004) took the club by storm with her incredible photography. This is a beautifully designed website with beautiful photos. Take some time to see all of her pix!
  • Photographic Society of America (PSA) - A large, prestigious and very conservative organization. Their rules for photographic competition are strict, but are often used as a model by other clubs. If you see, following someone's name in print, the title, "APSA", or "FPSA", then they are Associates or Fellows in PSA. Individuals and clubs can be members.
  • Nikon School of Photography - If you haven't attended this full-day seminar yet... do it now! Several members have attended and raved about it. It covers camera controls, flash, close up, composition, people pictures, - well, just follow the link and find out for yourself. Check the schedule and see when they're coming to town. You won't be sorry! By the way, you don't have to use Nikon products to get the most out of it.
