Suppliers
B&H Photo Video - There
are lots of big mail-order houses in New York City. Most of the
serious photogs I know go to B&H - you're not likely to beat
their prices, especially on film.
Penn Camera - Six retail
stores in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
Erie Color Slide Club -
(814)456-7578. Sells cropping slide mounts, masks, etc. We haven't
been able to raise them on the telephone lately, maybe out of
business.
The Camera Shop Inc. - Big
chain in the Philadelphia area, lots of resources on their web
page. We bought our new used projector screen from them. They have
now been bought out by Ritz camera, but the link still works.
KRR Photography (Annapolis) -
John and Kevin have been giving us informative presentations since
2001. Co-founders of the National Academy of Photography (see
below).
Hank Caruso's AEROCATURES™ -
Our own Hank Caruso is a renowned artist! Especially well known in
naval aviation circles, he specializes in caricatures of airplanes
- "aerocatures".
Lissa Hatcher Photography -
Lissa Hatcher (President 2004) took the club by storm with her
incredible photography. This is a beautifully designed website
with beautiful photos. Take some time to see all of her pix!
Mark's Photogallery - One of the active
members of the Delaware County Camera Club (see below) is Mark
Aksoy, who has created this very creative and entertaining gallery
of photography and digital imagery. He also has a great links
page! Mark took off a couple of days from work in April 2001 to
come to MD and give us a slide show on his travels to China. It
was terrific!
Judging Photos - Another
website by Mark Aksoy, this is a MUST READ for judges and
competitors alike. The judges' skills will benefit if they "read
& heed", and the competitor will learn a bit of what judges
are looking for and also be able to appreciate the difficulty the
judges face in scoring a diverse collection of images fairly.
Photographic Society of America (PSA) - A large, prestigious and very conservative
organization. Their rules for photographic competition are strict,
but are often used as a model by other clubs. If you see,
following someone's name in print, the title, "APSA", or "FPSA",
then they are Associates or Fellows in PSA. Individuals and clubs
can be members.
Nikon School of Photography - If you haven't attended this full-day seminar
yet... do it now! Several members have attended and raved about
it. It covers camera controls, flash, close up, composition,
people pictures, - well, just follow the link and find out for
yourself. Check the schedule and see when they're coming to town.
You won't be sorry! By the way, you don't have to use Nikon
products to get the most out of it.
Photorama - Schedule of area
camera shows, more links, photo tips, articles, etc.
National Academy of Photography - Mission

them on our home page. Fair deal! Do check them out.
